INVASIVE WEED CONTROL

The HLCA and the Indiana DNR LARE have worked together for close to 2 decades to ensure Hudson Lake remains healthy and usable – treating specific invasive weeds that can clog and/or kill a lake.

PROJECT DETAILS

The HLCA partners with Aquatic Weed Control (AWC) annually to execute the process of identifying the areas needing treatment, determining a budget and applying for the appropriate LARE grants. This occurs in the fall/winter, grants are awarded in the spring. Permits are secured, the areas are rescoped for treatment, treatments are applied. Sometimes a second treatment is required, if so and there are funds available. A second treatment may be applied.

PROJECT WORK

Work with AWC to work through the process defined above each year.

It takes a community to keep Hudson Lake healthy and enjoyable. Anyone interested in working on This PRoject, please reach out to us at info@hlcaindiana.com.
