Dedicated to the preservation & enhancement of HUDSON LAKE.

14,000 years ago, the Great Lakes and the sister and brother lakes surrounding them were created. As the glaciers receded and carved out areas of the Northern North American continent, they left behind smaller areas of intense beauty, water, and wildlife that include Hudson Lake. These bodies of water have seen the worst of times and the best of times in our postmodern era. It is our passion to work to preserve and enhance the beauty that is Hudson Lake well into the next Millennia!

  • Hoosier Riverwatch Training

    Two Hoosier Riverwatch trainings are being sponsored by the DNR Lake Michigan Coastal Program, IDEM, and Coffee Creek Watershed Conservancy. Basic training will be held on Monday, March 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. central time, and advanced E. coli on Tuesday, March 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Coffee Creek Preserve Pavilion. Parking is available on site. Classes are open to 15 participants each and once a class is full no more registrations will be taken. If you miss this session, don’t worry! More classes will be offered throughout LaPorte, Porter, and Lake Counties between March and April 2024. All classes are FREE!

  • Don't Miss: A total solar eclipse

    On the afternoon of April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse – the first since 2017 and the last until August 2044. It will travel an arc shape across the southern half of Indiana from southwest to northeast. The DNR has posted a number of its properties where the eclipse can be viewed from.
