FUNDRAISING EVENTS

Fundraising Events

With the expanding efforts of HLCA, fundraising is critical but also can be an engaging way to bring the community together – having fun mingling while showcasing our lake and all it has to offer.

PROJECT DETAILS

The HLCA has hosted a few galas over the years to help supplement reduced grant funding to keep our lake healthy. We are looking to bring these galas back and potentially expand to other engaging events. Some brainstorming resulted in the following: Fall Ball/Spring Flings, A Taste of Hudson Lake, Hudson Lake Venetian night, Hudson Lake run, dues collections and other fundraising.

PROJECT WORK

Though we’ve created an initial list for consideration, please feel free to create and maybe manage your own fundraising event. Here are some tasks that would be related to the identified options.

Fall Ball/Spring Flings – silent auctions; raffles; sell merchandise with our new logo.

A Taste of Hudson Lake – solicit vendors to come and sell their tasty dishes; get permits to close road(s) and host; get a permit to do maybe a split the pot raffle; manage the selling of tickets; manage cash & prize award.

Hudson Lake Venetian Night – decorated boats parade around the lake and prizes awarded in various categories; solicit prizes; committee to select and awards given to winners.

Hudson Lake Run – let’s get healthy! Runners/walkers get donor pledges to sponsor key HLCA projects. Select route, secure permits, and other coordination needs, manage sign-up, pledge lists/collections, and manage prizes & awards – if any.

Dues collections and other fundraising – posting flyers and UR codes in various areas for donors to easily get to our sites and join HLCA and/or donate to special projects.

It takes a community to keep Hudson Lake healthy and enjoyable. Anyone interested in working on This PRoject, please reach out to us at info@hlcaindiana.com.

Give Where it Counts.

Life happens at the speed of “Oh My Gosh,” so if you are tied up with the day-to-day, perhaps you could become a supporter of projects that are dear to your heart!
